A traveling family needs the right dose of adventure, learning and safety. We have prepared a package recipe with all these ingredients so that your kids will never forget.
We come from nature, and the young ones are the ones you need to understand this the most for the future. Visit an organic farm, swim in hot springs, admire a volcano, zip-line through the forest, sleep in a rain forest tent camp, and maybe spot whales!
Days 1-2
San José (1 night)
Upon arrival, spend your first night in the country’s capital and prepare for the thrilling trip ahead of you! Depending on your flight’s arrival time, you can also take city tour of San José.
Days 2-4
Arenal (2 nights)
Due to the perfect conic shaped Arenal Volcano, the Arenal Region is one of the most visited places in Costa Rica. A horseback riding tour, a waterfall visit, and bathing in natural hot springs will give you a warm welcome to the country’s northern plains.
Days 4-6
Monteverde (2 nights)
Monteverde, located on a mountain range high above the more tropical temperatures of the flatland is the perfect place to discover the cloud forest. The cooler temperatures are no reason to stay in your room. Zip-lining through the Cloud Forest, walking the hanging bridges, and a butterfly and hummingbird garden will ensure you see what you came for.
Days 6-8
Southern Pacific Coast (2 nights)
The Central Pacific Coast of Costa Rica is where the Rain Forest touches the ocean. Forget crowded touristic infrastructure and say go back in time a few decades. Sleep in comfortable tents within the forest and beside a cristal clear river, a lodge created by a family seeking the best growing-up experience for their kids. Depending on the season, a short drive will take you to the beach where a Whale Watching Tour will be a highlight of the trip.
Days 9-10
Manuel Antonio (2 nights)
The Manuel Antonio National Park with its rain forest bordering white sand beaches is the perfect ending to this family adventure. Seeing monkeys, sloths and many other animals in their natural habitat is incomparable to a zoo visit. All of this while relaxing at a beach with very good swimming conditions.
Day 11
San Jose (1 night)
Drive back to the capital for your last day in Costa Rica!
