The Northern Pacific Coast of Guanacaste is perhaps the most touristic developed part of Costa Rica. This is the country’s “cowboy” region. Historically, this pampa land is renowned for its cattle production and the culture associated with it too. However, today it is categorized as one of country’s best places to visit for a beach seeking adventure. Tranquil waters to several world’s best surf spots and white sand beaches make Guanacaste a world famous destination with places such as: Tamarindo, El Coco, Sámara, Flamingo, and Nosara among others. Guanacaste is also accesible through the Liberia International Airport (LIR).
